Jeanine Joy – Main Researcher and Editor

Jeanine Joy, Ph.D. is a motivational speaker and the author of eight self-help books. After researching stress and strategies to reduce stress for over two decades, she turned her attention to sleep several years ago because sleep deprivation is one of the most dangerous forms of stress. She began editing sleep-related websites to increase her income while she supported her husband’s dream of earning his Ph.D. at U of SC.

She has been the lead editor for several sleep-related websites where her attention to detail and focus on sharing scientifically based knowledge that helps shoppers make the best decisions possible is a real asset. We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping, but most people give sleep health little thought.

Since the quality of your sleep has a strong influence on the quality of your days and your relationships, Jeanine wants people to have access to all the information they know to make wise decisions about where, how, and when they sleep.

In her “Sleep Easy” retreats, she teaches a combination of sleep hygiene and stress management strategies that provide participants with the knowledge they need to develop healthy sleep habits. As she studied the research, Jeanine became determined to share information about common unhealthy behaviors related to sleep.

If Jeanine ruled the world, sleep health would be a required course in 6th grade because getting sleep right makes everything else easier.
